🎼 Melody Champs – Eligibility Criteria

Welcome to Melody Champs, the ultimate online competition for young instrumentalists! Before registering, please read the eligibility criteria carefully to ensure your child qualifies for participation.

🔹 Who Can Participate?

• Age Group:
  Children aged 5 to 15 years as of the competition start date are eligible to participate.

• Nationality:
  Open to Indian citizens only. Participants must be residing in India.

• Musical Category:
  This season is exclusively for instrumental music.
  (No vocal performances are accepted.)

 

🔹 Instruments Allowed

Participants may perform on any Indian or Western musical instrument, including but not limited to:

• Keyboard / Piano

• Guitar / Ukulele

• Tabla / Dholak / Mridangam

• Violin / Cello

• Flute / Harmonium / Sitar / Veena

• Drums / Cajon / Xylophone

• Instrument details provided below

 

🔹 Experience Level

• Open to all skill levels – from beginners to advanced performers.

• No formal training or music school enrollment is required.

 

🔹 Audition Format

• Auditions will be held live online via video call.

• Participants will be assigned a specific date and time after registration.

• Each participant will get 2 to 3 minutes to perform live in front of the judges.

• Only one instrument is allowed per audition round.

• The child must perform live without pre-recorded tracks or edited content.

 

🔹 Technical Requirements

To attend the live audition, participants must have:

• A stable internet connection

• A smartphone, tablet, or computer with a working camera and microphone

• A quiet, well-lit space for the performance

• The instrument ready and tuned before the audition

 

🔹 Parental Supervision

• A parent or guardian must be present during the live audition.

• Consent is required during registration.

 

🔹 Disqualification Criteria

Participants will be disqualified if:

• The child is not present during their assigned audition time

• Pre-recorded performances or videos are played

• False details are submitted in the registration form

• Inappropriate or unrelated content is presented
